Boston Ad Reminds Us of Research Trip to US

We recently saw a piece in the US on some bold Apple outdoor advertising on a multi-storey self storage facility. You can read the full article here. The self storage facility in question has significance for us at Stor-Age because it was one of many self storage facilities that we visited on numerous self storage research trips to the US.

Our research has taken us to many countries, including the US, Australia, UAE, UK and parts of Europe. We have seen some fascinating things over this period, however there is no doubt that some of the strangest things that we have seen in self storage have been in the interior of South Africa! This self storage facility conversion in Boston had amazing presence onto the nearby road network - we couldn't miss it from the road, but actually getting to the facility was another matter all together for a bunch of SA boys - good memories for us ......

Boston Apple Billboard"A gigantic Apple iPod Touch advertisement has been taken down recently from the Planet Storage facility on Traveler St in Boston as a result of being declared illegal by the Massachusetts Outdoor Advertising Board after being up since the Autumn season in 2007 (two years!). What was Apple’s customary artsy iPod Touch ad has become a giant wall of killer whales."

Thanks to boston.com for the article
