Connecting with Customers during lockdown

Almost all businesses have had to adapt in some shape or form as a result of what has transpired over recent months. Remaining connected has been vital to the survival of many businesses and so in this blog post we offer a few tips on how to connect with your customers.

How to connect with your customers:

  • Website
    • It goes without saying, but you'll be surprised at how many businesses don't put effort into their website. You need to have a space for your customers to browse your services or products, and more importantly to get an idea of your brand. If you have a poor website, chances are the people looking at it will assume the same of your product or service.
  • Social Media
    • Use social media to stay connected with your customers, whether that is to share your open hours, specials or any news you may have. A lot of people will first go to these channels to ask a question or to learn more about you, so make sure you monitor and respond to any queries that come through. If you are looking to drive engagement, why not run a competition.
  • Be personal
    • Don't use a standard response to any queries that come in from your customers. Be personal, be real. If there is an issue, address it and make an extra effort to see that it doesn't happen again. They will remember how you handled the issue.
  • Keep them informed
    • While things can get tough, stay connected with your customers and keep them informed. If you need to close for a renovation, deep clean or whatever it may be, tell them via your online channels
