What is self storage?
Self storage is simple, hassle free and easily accessible. Simply select the unit size, in the location that best suites you and then move-in. There are no long term contracts to sign and you can move-in on the same day. Access is free of charge and you can change your unit size any time you want. Not sure what size is right for you? What does self storage cost?
This depends on the unit size that you select. We have mini-vault one square metre units up to 100 square metres and for larger storage needs we have bulk self warehousing options. If you are not sure what size will suit you contact one of our well trained staff and we will assist you.

Please be aware that for the safety of our customers and staff we do not accept cash on site.

Are there any hidden costs?
Our helpful staff will explain all you need to know when you move-in, however it is important to note that you will need:
•   One month deposit
•   A nominal fee for your unique entry tag, to ensure secure access control
•  Your own padlock. We have a range of padlocks and packaging available in store
•  A nominal General Administration Fee (GAF), to ensure you always receive the best service and account administration

When do I Pay?
Your first payment is due on or before your move-in date. Thereafter rent is due on the first of every month, however we will place a debit order on your behalf to avoid the hassle of making your monthly payment.

Please be aware that for the safety of our customers and staff we do not accept cash on site.

Why does Stor-Age not accept cash on site under any circumstances?
In the interests of safety for our customers and staff, Stor-Age does not accept cash as a form of payment.

All payments should be made by debit order, EFT or direct deposit.  You will have the opportunity to complete a debit order form for simple and hassle free payments.

Are there any discounts?
There are many Stor-Age competitions and specials for new and existing customers. Call our stores and ask our helpful staff for the latest news.

Do I have to reserve a unit before I get there?
You don’t have to reserve a unit but this is advisable. To ensure you don’t lose the storage space that best suites you, you can reserve a unit by paying a deposit. Check with our staff to book your space now.

What if I need to move-in now?
No problem, our well trained staff will assist you with your move-in and you will have access to your storage space on the same day. Just remember to bring along your ID or passport.

What are the store hours?
The access hours of our facilities vary so please check with our staff or alternatively you can look on our website under your particular location.

Please note that our office hours are different to our access hours. The office is open from 08:00 – 18:00 on weekdays and 09:00 – 12:00 on Saturday and public holidays.

Are there any contracts I have to sign?
You will need to sign a lease before you have access to your storage unit. Please remember to give us at least fourteen (14) days written notice before the end of the month of your intention to move-out.

I need transport can you help?
New customers moving in will get free use of our Stor-Age van for one trip. Speak to friendly staff if you require more trips or would like us to recommend a removals company.

Help! I don’t know what unit size to choose?
Our well trained staff can assist you to select the unit size that best suites you. Remember if you need regular access to your stored items then a larger space where you can pack aisles will be beneficial. If you know you will only access the unit once you move-out then a smaller space can save in costs.

What do I do if I choose the wrong size unit?
No problem, you can transfer to another size unit anytime and as many times as you want.

How high is it inside my storage unit?
Most of our units are three (3) metres high. Best practice is to check with our staff before you choose your unit.

Are my goods safe and secure?
We ensure there is a large range of security features at our stores, ranging from cctv cameras to electric fences and access control systems. Click here to visit our safety and security page.

Are my goods insured while in storage?
We have negotiated pre-approved insurance coverage for goods stored with us. For a detailed description of this cover please visit the Intasure website.

How short or how long can I store for?
Our minimum period is one (1) month and there is no limit to how long you can stay.

What notice do I have to give to move-out of my self storage unit?
One of the benefits of using Stor-Age is that you are not contracted to a long term lease. Please remember to give us at least fourteen (14) days written notice before the end of the month of your intention to move-out.

Can I store anything I want?
We would like you to store anything you need but there are some restrictions. Items which we have identified as hazardous and/or not suitable for self storage, and which we do not allow our customers to store in our secure storage facilities are:
•   toxic, pollutants or contaminated goods
•   firearms, munitions or explosives
•   radioactive materials
•   hazardous goods
•   living plants or animals
•   food or perishable goods
•   cash and securities
•   illegal goods
•   waste

Do you have trolleys I can use to move my large items?
There are free trolleys for you to move your larger items into storage. In addition our passages are extra wide to make sure your move is as easy as possible.
