Different roles have different operating hours. Our stores operate on Saturdays and most public holidays, and we trade for extended hours at month-end. Head office hours are 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday, with the option to stagger working hours.

We are passionate about learning, development and training. Our training takes the form of workshops, on-the-job coaching, as well as continuous online learning through our e-learning platform.

We continue to expand rapidly as a multi-national market leader operating in a growth sector. There are always new opportunities, including for personal growth and development.

Contributions

Our staff wellbeing is important to us. Following extensive research, we have provided our staff with the best healthcare providers suited to our profile. Stor-Age will contribute a sizeable amount towards employee’s healthcare costs as well as a retirement annuity with the company preferred providers, currently Momentum Health and the Allan Gray Balance Fund. This is explained further during the recruitment process.

Bonus

Working in-store, you’ll participate along with your team in our KPI based staff incentive scheme. As a member of the head office team you may be eligible to qualify for a discretionary bonus.

Holiday Entitlement

Holidays start at either 15 or 18 days per annum, depending on whether you are employed as a 5 or 6 day worker respectively. Increasing with service to a maximum of 20 or 23 days a year.

Study Aid and Assistance

We’re serious about personal growth! In addition to our comprehensive learning, development and training programme, spearheaded by our bespoke online e-learning platform, we also offer study loans in special circumstances where it has been identified that further studies are warranted in support of the Company’s goals.

Annual Review or Conference

It’s essential that everyone knows about our business and where we’re heading. We hold either an Annual Review or Conference to see how we did in the previous year, celebrate our staff and look at what is coming up in the year ahead. We reward both team and individual success with prizes.

Pay

We offer competitive salaries bench-marked against positions with similar requirements, which are reviewed on an annual basis.

Life, Disability and Funeral cover

We provide basic funeral and disability cover to all Operations staff.

Refer-a-friend

If you refer suitably qualified friends for any vacancies and the successful applicant completes at least one year of permanent employment, we reward you with a special gift.

Celebrations

We celebrate both work-related and personal milestones. We have a special gift for you when you get married, enter into a civil partnership or when we hear the patter of little feet.

25% Staff Discount

We understand that our colleagues experience life-changes. To make the transition a little easier, we offer a 25% discount on unit rental.

You receive your birthday as an extra day-off, over and above your annual leave.

We recognise and celebrate staff who are hardworking and loyal to the organisation and reward service achievements appropriately.

Staff socials

We work hard, but we also take some time out to relax and enjoy ourselves as well. All teams are allocated a budget for socials.

We aim to locate you as close to home as we can but sometimes this is not possible. In these instances, we require you to be flexible with transportation.

At the core of our business lie our front runners, our Store Operations Managers. Assisted by our Store Operations Assistants, they assume overall responsibility for managing the performance of each property.

Our Facility Assistants support the management team by attending to security, access control and cleanliness.

Our head office and regional teams support colleagues at the properties with a wide range of services.
