World's Largest Cruise Liner Has Impressive Storage Space

Built as one of two identical ships the MS Allure of the Seas is just five centimeters longer than her sister Oasis of the Seas. With staggering measurements the MS Allure of the Seas comes in at 362 meters in length, is 72 meters high and 47 meters across. We did some calculating and that works out to a lot of storage space. So much so, that each of the 32 currently active Stor-Age stores nationwide put together only houses 58% of the same storage space that the massive cruise liner holds.

Impressive numbers indeed, so what can you do on this cruise liner? Here are a few of the many activities and locations you can visit on this huge ship.
  • There are 25 dining options, ranging from sausages to sushi
  • Spa facilities
  • Fitness center
  • Four pools
  • Ten whirlpools
  • Zip-lining
  • Ice skating
  • Mini golf
  • Movie theater
  • Games room
  • Casino

Weighing in at 225 282 tonnes you would not expect the massive cruise liner to move too quickly... and you would be right. The maximum speed is listed at 41.9 km/h but with all the on-board entertainment you shouldn't be in a hurry. With a boat this size the numbers just keep coming and you may be surprised to learn that the maximum number of people that can be accommodated on board is 6 296, that is not including the staff compliment of 2 384. What does it cost to get a few nights on this behemoth of the seas? Prices range depending on your desired location and the time of the year you are traveling. We spotted a range from about R4 300 ($352)to R17 000 ($1 394) per night.
