Tough Mudder 2019
We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Tough Mudder, a challenging event set over two routes, 8km and a 16km, consisting of mud and obstacles specifically designed to test your teamwork and toughness.
Competitors will overcome obstacles and adrenaline-pumping challenges, all while being completely drenched in mud! It’s a fun event where friends and family descend upon Houwteq in Elgin each year to take part.
The last thing you want to be worrying about while you are tackling the muddy course is where to keep a fresh set of clothes, your phone and your car keys. Well, we have this completely covered this year with the Stor-Age Bag Drop, an designated area at the start area where we will box your items, label them and safely store them, for FREE.
Simply drop your bag or goodies off at the start of the race at the Stor-Age Bag Drop and we will keep them safe in a sealed Stor-Age box. You can then simply collect your box after the race (don’t forget to put a fresh set of clothes in!).

Tough Mudder Info
It takes part at Houwteq in Elgin in the Western Cape. Over 1 300 people take part each year, selecting one of three events. Here are the details of each and what each competitor will receive:
Half
- 8km
- 11 world-class obstacles
- Blue finisher headband
- 300 Vitality points
- Ice cold finisher beer
Full:
- 16km
- 21 world-class obstacles
- Orange finisher headband
- 600 Vitality points
- Ice cold finisher beer
Tougher (Elite)
- 16km
- Access to first start wave
- 21 world-class obstacles
- Finisher medal and finisher headband
- 600 Vitality points
- Ice cold finisher beer
Tough Mudder is for anyone, no matter their fitness level.
