Best Of The Best Stor-Age Wins Top 35 Under 35

The Top 35 under 35 awards are open to all Chartered Accountants (SA) who are under the age of 35, demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and excellent business acumen. The nominations are judged by the editor of Accountancy SA, Senior Executives of SAICA and selected high profile CA(SA) business leaders. We were delighted to be informed at a gala dinner evening that our CEO Gavin Lucas was the top CA(SA) winner.

"“Seemingly without effort he did both the talk and the numbers. He managed to sell his business model to us on both the emotional and business levels in a way that was irresistible. This company and this young CA(SA) will go far. He is a worthy winner and has set a standard for the future that will be hard to match,” says John Robbie, 702 Radio host and one of the judges for the Top 35-under-35." The November edition of Accountancy SA details an interview with Gavin, "“I think that ‘innovation’ is a term that is often interpreted quite narrowly in society. People tend to think that you need to come up with a wonderfully innovative idea to be successful. This is simply not true. Innovation can be so much more. It can refer to a mind-set, a culture or an approach to doing business." Stor-Age is undoubtedly innovative but the concept of self storage is not. Fortunately Stor-Age has stuck to it's four core values, excellence, relevance, sustainability and integrity; and this has allowed the business to grow from strength to strength, positioning itself as the leader in this property sector.
