(Source Wikipedia) So if you have a penchant for fine wine, or any wine for that matter, you may be wondering what is the best way to store it so that you can enjoy it in the best way possible. While we may not be able to help you with how to drink your wine, we did find a rather clever infographic from that details how to store your wine.

  • The wine that lasts best in storage is cabernet sauvignon at 7-10 years
  • You should drink a beaujolias immediately!
  • In the US 47% of all wine sold is red while 40% is white. The remaining 13% is blush
  • You should store your wine at a constant temperature between 11-18 Celsius
  • Keep your stored wine away from light
  • Keep the storage area well ventilated
  • Keep the humidity constant at around 65%
  • Red wines are best drunk at higher temperatures while sparkling wines are best at lower temperatures
  • When storing your wine it is best not to move the bottle
  • Store corked wine bottles on their side
