Stor-Age Supports Discovery 702 Walk The Talk
This weekend the Stor-Age team got together for an early morning start to setup a 300 meter Stor-Age Power Zone for the participants in this year's Discovery 702 Walk the Talk. The event encourages health and giving back to the community for specific projects. The Walk the Talk website notes that, "R10 from every full-price entry will go towards a community legacy project which will uplift an area directly affected by the Walk route, and encourage the people of Joburg to get active, and improve their health."
This year there was a special 20 kilometre Freedom Walk arranged, in celebration of 20 years of freedom in South Africa. With over 50,000 participants and 2,000 dogs, the event is a great addition to your social calendar as well as a great way to keep healthy while meeting new people. The Stor-Age staff were extremely excited to get involved, with a good turnout of all Johannesburg and Pretoria staff members. Everyone was able to cheer on the walkers, including many canine friends. We managed to take a number of photos of the walkers, if you are looking for your image you can follow the hashtag #getspaced on Twitter or check out the Walk the Talk album on Facebook.
