Nka’Thuto Edu Propeller
One idea can change a life, a community and even the world. Scientists Thandeka Mhlanga and Thulile Kanyile built the non-profit Nka’Thuto Edu Propeller on this belief. With STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) subjects out of reach for many learners in South Africa, Thandeka and Thulile began hosting workshops that sparked innovation and gave light to bold and brilliant ideas.
Now four years later, the driven duo have empowered thousands of learners with the knowledge and skills to become changemakers in their communities. Through research methodology and innovation workshops, the team gives young learners the knowledge, skills and platform to address key issues in their communities such as sanitation, transport and water scarcity.
