Kolisi Foundation
Springbok captain Siya Kolisi and his wife Rachel started the Kolisi Foundation to change the narrative of inequality in South Africa. They launched the Foundation at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 to address gender-based violence and food security in the country, as well as to improve access to education and sports. The Foundation aims to support people living in under-resourced communities by providing resources, facilitating capacity-building and horizontal learning exchanges, and mobilising and advocating for systematic change.
Over the last year, the Kolisi Foundation has spearheaded multiple projects and initiatives across South Africa. From funding and assisting feeding schemes to combatting gender-based violence with their Power2You initiative, the team is dedicated to eradicating inequality and bolstering South Africa’s most vulnerable communities.
